Mathematics MEAP 2012 As in fall 2011: No overlays (ruler, protractor, inch/cm grid) These items will have tools included, e.g., ruler below graphic. No matrix items, i.e., operational items same across forms
Mathematics MEAP 2012 5 forms for each grade (7 in 2010) Grade 3: 3 options, one booklet, no calculators Grades 4 – 7: booklet & answer document
MEAP gd 4 to 8 - Calculator policy No calculator for part 1 Calculators permitted on part 2 TI-nspires must use TI-84 keyboard or be “Press to Test” mode (see TI manual)
Test Lengths: 2 parts • Grade 3: 61 items (26, 35) • Grade 4: 68 items (48, 20) • Grade 5: 64 items (46, 18) • Grade 6: 69 items (42, 27) • Grade 7: 72 items (46, 26) • Grade 8: 57 items (13, 44)
MEAP mathematics reports Class & School Item Analysis will report by focal point, topic, GLCE Individual Student Report, Class Roster & School Summary will report by focal point, GLCE Parent Report will report by focal point (MEAP-Access reports are similar)
MEAP-Access Mathematics 2012 All grades: 3 options 45 items: part 1 – 20 items part 2 – 25 items Calculators permitted on both parts Grade 3 – one booklet
