ICRB Meeting on GRID: Summary(Presentation slides are on the Web) • Update on current plan • Stimulate interaction and further work • Goals • Talks • Smooth integration (“the GRID”) still in the future • Not a show stopper (MC does not need it e.g.) • Much work from CD/CDF to make this possible, even with limited functionalities • DB access a serious problem that GRID will not solve. Need more people to help • More discussion and interaction needed • MC production plan & coordination needed • A question for the collaboration: • How to incorporate computing contributions • Welcome addition ? Help for offsite institutions ? Solution to a need (MC) ? • DH and DB vs. offsite from Jeff & Alan • Reports from all foreign countries • Everybody setting up farms (some big) • Most regard it as contribution to CDF Stefano Belforte – INFN Trieste ICRB Meeting Summary
