  1. Journal Write (Bellwork) 10/13 Write about your first day of high school. What were some of the thoughts that went through your head? What emotions did you experience? What were your hopes and expectations? Were they met? Explain your first day of school using at least 3 complete sentences.

  2. Bellwork (10/15) On page 14, Melinda speaks about her family. In a journal response, answer the following questions using at least 3 sentences. Family communication: How does communication break down in Melinda's family? What could each person do to improve it? If you were a parent, how would communication be in your family? What’s the problem with little communication in a family or any relationship?
