This casting type uses a vacuum to pull or draw the liquid material into the molds. The molds in this technique are generally made of silicone. The liquid materials are usually elastomer substances, like rubber, plastic, etc. As this product manufacturing technique uses polyurethane resin as the casting substance, developers also refer to vacuum pressure casting as urethane casting. How Does Vacuum Pressurized Casting Work? The subject technique uses the steps mentioned briefly below. The first step is similar to most other product manufacturing processes, which is creating the digital model of the mold. Then, designers achieve it via computer- aided software and generate the three-dimensional model of the desired object.
