  3. Aims of the day • Ensure that training and key interventions are in place to reduce SSI • Provide training specifically around surveillance definition criteria for identifying infection Achieved Launch of training package, lecture and workshop to identify infection, monitoring framework

Aims of the day • Session 2: • Post discharge surveillance within the community • Ensure consistent post discharge SSI data collection method for Wales • Ensure that processes are in place to monitor data collection Achieved Discussion around PD data collection and way forward – plan for Wales, Validation of the method with added detail on the surveillance form

Aims of the day • Session 3: • Health Board and all Wales plan (2016/2017) Achieved • To agree Health Board local plans for 2016 / 2017 • To agree an all Wales plan going forward • Team work – national focus with local ownership Workshop allowing HBs to prioritise SSI reduction, Workshop allowing new local plan development 2016/2017, From this to develop all Wales plan
