AUXILIARY-ROLE-ID and ROLE-ID Changes - Background • Approximately 25% of district expenses are reported under: • ROLE-ID 058 Other Campus Professional Personnel • ROLE-ID 080 Other Non-Instructional District Professional Personnel
AUXILIARY-ROLE-ID and ROLE-ID Changes - Background • In order to pinpoint root causes of financial instability at a district, the ROLE-ID code table has been expanded and an AUXILIARY-ROLE-ID has been added for the 2017-2018 school year. • These changes align with statutory provisions found under TEC 7.009(a), 11.051 (a), 11.201(d), and 44.007.
AUXILIARY-ROLE-ID and ROLE-ID Changes • Added E1594 AUXILIARY-ROLE-ID to the StaffEducationOrgEmploymentAssociationExtension complex type to be collected in PEIMS Submission 1. • Added new code table C213 AUXILIARY-ROLE-ID
AUXILIARY-ROLE-ID and ROLE-ID Changes • Revised code table C021 ROLE-ID • Deleted 058 Other Campus Professional Personnel • Deleted 080 Other Non-Instructional District Professional Personnel • Added 15 new ROLE-IDs for more detailed reporting of professional responsibilities
Staff Reporting Requirements • Staff fall into three main categories: • Professional • Professional staff who are employees • Contracted professional staff • Volunteer professional staff • Paraprofessional • Educational Aides (Role ID 033) • Certified Interpreters (Role ID 037) • Auxiliary • Nonprofessional staff based on duties performed
Staff Reporting Requirements • Each person that is reported through the 30040 - StaffExtension Complex Type is required to have a value reported for either the Auxiliary Role ID in the 30050 - StaffEducationOrgEmploymentAssociationExtension Complex Type and/or the Role ID in the 30090 - StaffResponsibilitiesExtension Complex Type.
Staff Reporting Requirements • The reporting of the correct Role ID and Auxiliary Role ID for each staff person reported through the StaffExtension Complex Type is controlled by the Object Codes reported on the 30060 – PayrollExtension Complex Type. It is possible for a single staff person to have both an Auxiliary Role ID and a Role ID if the person is paid as a professional and a support person evidenced by multiple payroll entries.
Revised Code Table C021 ROLE-ID • Deleted code 058 – Other Campus Professional Personnel • End users will use code 114– Other Campus Exempt Professional Auxiliary if none of the new codes (100-112) will suffice.
