Charter Process How to become a Club
Charter Process • Pick up a club Charter packet from PUB 160 • Get all appropriate signatures including: Advisor’s signature and 10 currently registered students • Turn in to Club Coordinator’s Mailbox in PUB 160 • Club Coordinator reads through it and will contact Representative listed if there are problems • Club Coordinator and Director of Student Life approves it
Charter Process Continued • Listed Representative gets a notice saying their Club is up for Charter at next Club Committee • At Club Committee, Charter gets discussed and voted on • If approved, Congrats! • If denied, Representative and Club Coordinator will meet to discuss any possible changes, then back to Club Committee
Possible Challenges in getting Chartered • Mission Statement isn’t inclusive to all students or it focuses too much on the community, not Clark College • Not all 10 student signatures and SINs are valid • Another Club very similar to yours already exists • Another Program at Clark already exists that is the same as your Club
Other Information • Please Read Club Handbook! • Found at http://www.clark.edu/student_life/forms_docs.php • Any other questions, comments, etc. • Ask the Club Coordinator! • Email at ascccc@clark.edu • You must attend at least 4 Club Committee meetings to keep “Active” Club status
