God’s GLORY & Name (8:10-11, 16; Is. 63:7-14, 15). C. God Is Said To DWELL There (8:13). D. God NOT Literally There (8:27-30; 1 Kg 19:11f; Ax 17:24). E. God Dwells In HEAVEN (8:30, 32, 34, 36, 39, 43, 45, 49).

  2. Spirit’s work is REVELATION, not incarnation (John 16:13)! INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT II. THE N.T. TEMPLE (1 Cor. 3:9, 16-17 The Church). A. God’s LAW There (3:1-2, 5, 10-11; 4:1, 15, 17). B. God’s GLORY Seen (3:6f, 21-23 & 1:31). C. God Is Said To DWELL There (3:16). D. NOT Literally There (2:11-13, 16) His words, Christ’s mind. E. God Dwells In HEAVEN (Implied in 2:11-12; cf. Mt. 6:9).

  3. “In the Spirit” (2:18, 22) & “In the Lord” (6:10). Literal Location? Or Relationship? INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT III. THE N.T. TEMPLE (Eph. 2:19-22 The Church). A. God’s LAW There (2:19f; 3:3f). B. God’s GLORY & Name Seen (1:12, 23; 3:10-11, 21). C. God Is Said To DWELL There (1:23; 3:16-17; 5:18-19). D. NOT Literally There (“By Faith” & “Speaking”). E. God Dwells In HEAVEN (6:9).

God’s LAW Was There (6:18; Mt. 7:21ff). B. God’s GLORY Was Seen (6:20; Mt. 5:16). C. God Is Said To DWELL There (6:19). E. God Dwells In HEAVEN (Implied in 2:11-12; Mt. 7:21).

  5. “Read Moses” = Read the LAW of Moses (2 Cor. 3:15; Acts 15:21). INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT V. THE N.T. TEMPLE (Romans 8:1-17 The Christian). A. God’s LAW Was There (8:2, 6-7, 14). B. God’s GLORY & Name (8:10, 11, 15-17). C. God Is Said To DWELL There (8:9-11; 13:14; Col. 3:16). D. NOT Literally There (8:9, 10; Ax 8:17-19). “Not in the flesh” “Christ in you”. E. Dwells In HEAVEN (Rev. 1:4; 4:5; 5:6b; 2:7ff; 21:1-3).

Spirit (Rom. 8:9, 2). B. Son (Rom. 8:10, 2; 16:7-8; Eph. 3:17). C. Father (1 John 4:10-12, 13, 16). E. We Dwell In God (1 Jn. 4:13, 15-16)! Literal Location or Relationship? DOES THE SPIRIT DWELL IN YOU?
