HIP4Inter.net Implementation Status: FreeBSD, Linux, and Planned Features

Get updates on the latest HIP4Inter.net implementation status. Currently supported on FreeBSD versions 5.4 and 6.0, and Linux 2.6.15.2. Features include HIP and mobility support, BEET mode, and Rendezvous & registration (available upon request).

  2. The Code • The base code can be found at http://hip4inter.net • 14 snapshots 2005 • 3 snapshots 2006 more to come • FreeBSD and Linux are currently supported • FreeBSD versions 5.4 and 6.0 • Linux 2.6.15.2 • TBD: OS X

Current status – HIP 4 BSD • Implemented & tested on FreeBSD 5.4 and 6.0 • HIP & mobility • draft-ietf-hip-base-05 • draft-ietf-hip-esp-02 • draft-ietf-hip-mm-03 • BEET mode • draft-nikander-esp-beet-mode-05 • Rendezvous & registration • available only on request • draft-ietf-hip-rvs-04 • draft-ietf-hip-registration-01

  4. HIP 4 BSD (cont) • SPI Multiplexed NAT • Used in EU’s Ambient Networks project • Woodstock.hip4inter.net • Birthday coming on 2nd of April 2006 • Almost one year online without interruption • Most likely it will break now 
