Management Response NCAS/NASA Audit 1064/6/2010–4/8/2010 • Root Cause: • There exists no established process for the flowing of contractual requirements from the University’s Sponsored Projects Office to SSL Procurement. • Buyer had not previously subcontracted under a DPAS Rated prime. • Per Title 15, Part 700.17, the rating is only required to be flowed to suppliers on orders greater than $50K. 2 of 4
Management Response NCAS/NASA Audit 1064/6/2010–4/8/2010 • Action Plan: • The creation of a checklist, to originate with SPO, is under consideration to accompany each contract to SSL. This could serve to succinctly inform SSL in the areas of title, property, and DPAS Ratings. • 2. Buyer has reviewed the Defense Priorities and Allocations System and will flow DPAS Ratings to suppliers as required. Anticipated Action Plan Completion Date: May 30, 2010 3 of 4
