A noun may be plural. This means there is more than one thing. lots of cats lots of pens lots of cars
Add an –s to each word to form the plural. pen s cat s car s
a chair lots of chairs
a tree lots of trees
a bird lots of birds
lots of farmers a farmer
flowers a flower
a coat coats
teachers teacher
So for some nouns you add an –s to form the plural. elephants boys rockets
