Yayasan Gita Buana Seeking ‘Rewards’ for Conserving Biodiversity in Traditional Rubber Agroforests RUPES-Bungo Biodiversity conservation is also possible in managed agroforests such as traditional rubber agroforests in Jambi, Indonesia. However, conservation should be linked to local livelihoods and household benefits. RUPES-Bungo project is an on-going joint action-research initiative of ICRAF-WARSI-YGB that aims to provide “reward” to farmers for managing their traditional rubber agroforests that support rich biodiversity and habitat conservation.
