  1. Nature vs. Man – Y6 Art / Literacy SoW Close-up pictures or pictures from unusual angles can be interesting

  2. Textured pictures can be used as interesting backgrounds on which you can superimpose other images.

  3. This image uses a background of the countryside. It has cropped images of parts of cars. It is meant to show conflict between these two aspects. Parts have been cut, rotated and reflected. In order to give a ghost like feeling, the car parts have been made partly transparent. It is also possible to change aspects such as the brightness and contrast.

  4. The children developed poetry based on the images produced. This linked the art and literacy topics.

  5. Colours and light can be altered too.

  6. This uses 3 layers of varying transparency. It mixes drawn images and photos.

  7. This is the same image but has now had a variety of visual effects on top.

  8. You can even print work onto different surfaces (such as the piece of wood on the bottom left).
