SIT Table Clean-Up Presented by: UBO Contract Support Team Dial in: 866-866-2244 Conf code: 5260345
Objectives • Understand the SIT Table duplicate issue • Be aware of upcoming changes • Understand MTF role in the procedure
Why Clean-Up? There are many duplicate HICs • Takes a long time to wade through list to choose the desired HIC • Not sure whether to add a new one • Similar HICs but incorrect information
Overview of Process Basic Idea: • Reduce the number of HICs • Re-point the OHI • Communication with VPOC
How Will It Work? • Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) will run a report to separate HICs by: - name and state (e.g., Aetna of CA) - group (e.g., Mailhandlers) • Committee of 3 Service Representatives will review all HICs (Army, Navy, AF contractor)
How? (Con’t) • List of HICs will be emailed • Which ones to use • Which ones proposed to deactivate • 60-day window timeframe • MTF to review and RSVP VPOC if there is a HIC to keep • MTF to re-point their OHI to designated HIC
How? (Con’t) • 30-day check • DMDC to run report on designated HICs to see progress of OHI re-pointing • MTFs to receive email reminders
How? (Con’t) • 60-day check • DMDC to run OHI progress report • MTFs to receive email reminder • Designated HICs to be deactivated when OHI re-pointing report is satisfactory
Summary of Clean-Up • Clean-up procedure • Identify duplicate insurance carriers • Opportunity to re-point OHI • Communication system with VPOC Vpochelpdesk@altarum.org • Snag • MCSCs and Pharmacy can only Cancel and Add OHI • No re-point capability
MCSCs and Pharmacy Inability to re-point OHI • Will limit clean-up process • May be able to reduce not eliminate the number of duplicates • Plan to do a modified trial on a smaller group of HICs • Will evaluate to determine further effort
Important For MTFs To Know • May notice fewer HICs with a particular health insurance carrier • May find it easier to choose a HIC • Will not interrupt current business processes • Anticipate start of clean-up end of June
How Can MTFs Help? • Review the HIC list that will be emailed • Decide if you agree with the HICs to be deactivated • Email VPOC only if you want to keep a particular HIC – VPOChelpdesk@altarum.org • Re-point your OHI to the designated HICs within the 60-day window
