  1. Introduction Whole Body Vibration Therapy :The movement of individual organs, musculature and bone of human body are always influenced by earth’s gravity, The earth’s gravity works only in the vertical directions. Therefore, Whole body vibration theory was originated from the concept of human body movement under earth gravity. Herein, we called the Whole Body Vibration is that the human body who’s whole body is under the passive motion under the rhythm vibration in vertical motion. The Whole Body Vibration therapy is kind of passive exercise, it could massage the human organs, enhance the nerve, bone and strengthen your muscle.Vibration is a well-known phenomenon, especially in exercise training and physical therapy. In fact, vibration is also used in massage techniques. To move up and down in the vertical motion is the most gentle way when exercise, it’s the most smooth way and cause no harm or hurt when exercising. Moreover, it suits for anyone regardless of age or sex, and particular for athletes, overweight people, elders and office workers who sits for a long time at almost everyday.

  2. Events The「Whole Body Vibration Therapy」was first touched upon from the materials in ”Mechanical Vibration” by Arnold Snow, M.D., in1912. And it was first developed in the former Soviet Union, where the scientist Nazarov applied different forms of vibration on top athletes. Such as athletes, rowers and gymnasts. In the 1970‘s, vibration training was particularly used by cosmonauts and ballet dancers to strengthen the muscle strength and bone density. To cite an instance, the cosmonauts who have carried out Whole Body Vibration training get the excellent benefit, especially in bone density, muscle strength and endocrine , they were able to stay in space for up to 420 days. (Contrary to other American astronauts who underwent more traditional exercise regimens, terminated their stay in space after only 120 days ). The theory of Whole Body Vibration Therapy is popularly applying now in US, EU, Japan, AU and Korea.

  3. USAGES ※Amateur Exercise To move up and down in the vertical motion is the most gentle way when exercise, it’s the most smooth way and cause no harm or hurt when exercising. It takes you only 10 minutes than you can have the same effect as the common adults’ exercise in one day. You can enjoy not only the Chinese breathing exercise from the deep inside of your body to massage your organ and tissue, but also do the professional exercise to improve muscle strength and bone density under the high speed frequency. ※ Health Care Properly using these equipments as daily exercise will have you great benefits as of training on muscles, organs, bones, cardiovascular system, cardiopulmonary performance, nervous system. And make you have less cellulite, body pain relief, clear thinking, sleep well. In other words, these benefits are for your whole body and you can feel that obviously. These outstanding benefits are more than most fitness equipments that you can find. ※Professional Sports The athlete can train their explosive strength under the high frequency around 20~40Hz, and to improve their muscle strength, muscle endurance under the lower frequency around 5~15Hz. Furthermore, applying the lower frequency before exercise will have relax and warm up effects, that will prevent possible harm during a hard exercise.

  4. ※Slim Body The Whole Body Vibration is a passive exercise, and works excellently. Especially, the vibration wave will be delivered to any part of human body. According to different frequency and amplitude, user can make the vibration on any part of his body by performing different exercise posture. It’s really helpful for you to reduce the calorie and appearance of cellulite, especially for your abdomen. The easiest way to slim and shape your body. Furthermore, it will improve the blood vessel circulation, to increase secretion of hormone, that will make you feel more vitality and health. ※ Medical Rehabilitation The Whole Body Vibration Therapy will enhance your internal secretion (such as HGH, IGF-1 and testosterone), and will increase your bone density, reduce body pain, release muscle fatigue. Since the Whole Body Vibration is a passive exercise, therefore, it’s the best exercise for the disabled people or people who is inactive in motion. It will improve the blood vessel circulation to avoid the muscular dystrophy, osteoporosis or poor digestion. Also because of the good improving effects on muscles strength, it will shorten the treatment time of a rehabilitation.

  5. Benefits 1、Improve muscle strength, endurance, explosive strength, physical performance. 2、Relax the taut muscle, strengthen the muscle. 3、Improve the agility, increase the movement of activity. 4、Reduce calorie and appearance of cellulite, and accelerate weight loss. 5、Improve blood vessel circulation (Oxygen uptake and activate lymph system). 6、Increase bone density, enhance the action of cardio. 7、Improve the joint, tendon and connective tissue. 8、Recover the muscle fatigued into active performance. 9、Support thinking process, eliminate stress and improve the sleeping quality.10、Shape up a perfect body, to have you a stacked body.12、Reduce body pain, especially for lower back pain.13、Massage the internal organs and improve the constipation problem.14、Enhance immune system and resistance.

  6. Target Applications

  7. Studies Muscles The effect of vibration results in what scientific literature calls 'Tonic Vibration Reflex' or 'TVR'. That is a repeated myotome reflex or stretch reflex. This means that the vibrated muscle has to work very hard, while the subject or player using Aerobics Vibrator does nothing other than balance on the working platform. The effect per pulsation is like that of the knee jerk reflex. This muscle activity can be measured by use of electromyography (EMG). For example, in a one repetition maximum effort, the muscles involved are activated 100% voluntarily. However with vibration therapy on Aerobics Vibrator the muscles work at 200 to 300% of this IRM activation. This is an ideal way to train, especially when the muscle does not function properly, such as senior people or people has injured, who have weakened muscles. Nervous System The effect on the muscles is reflexively activated via the nervous system. With vibration therapy, it seems as if pulsations awaken the nerve tract, which could explain the positive effects of vibration therapy in partial paralysis. In fact, good results have been reported in the experimental treatment of, for example, MS patients. Cartilage It is already recognized that intermittent pressure stimulates optimal functioning of the cartilage. This vibration causes the synovial fluid or synovia to be repeatedly pumped between the cartilage, just like a sponge which is constantly squeezed under water. This intermittent pressure maintains and improves cartilage function.

  8. Bone Density Bone decalcification (osteoporosis) is one of the biggest health problems especially in the elderly and women population. Many elderly people break their bones more easily when they fall because of bone decalcification; the hip is the most notorious in this respect. The onset of osteoporosis is partly due to a lack of movement, which causes muscles to gradually weaken, causes the circulation to diminish and causes the bones to be inadequately used. In addition, as a result of the ageing process, the body produces less hormones such as testosterone, estrogen and growth hormone. Yet it is exactly these hormones which play such an important role in the maintenance of strong bones. The advice usually given to sufferers of this disease is to take more exercise, but that is difficult when muscles are weak, particularly in the legs. Aerobic Vibrator offers a good alternative to vigorous impact exercise: through vibration the muscles automatically become stronger and regain their tone. The circulation improves because the blood vessels in the legs are wide open due to the vibration. At the same time, the pulsation gives a direct stimulus to bone tissue, which stimulates the production of new bone tissue. Scientific research shows that whole body vibration therapy can help against osteoporosis. Recent findings show that even after only one vibration treatment, there is an increase in the hormone testosterone and growth hormone, which are so essential for strengthen bones.

  9. Blood Vessels The effect of vibration therapy on the blood vessels is clear to see and to feel. After training, mostly you will see the skin of your lower legs are pink. This is a phenomenon that the blood vessels in that area are wide open. It also explains the feeling which many articles describe as: coming home after a snowball fight with your bare hands, and then putting your hands in a bucket of warm water. A tingling feeling which indicates that your blood vessels are wide open. In Germany, the effect of vibration therapy is used as therapy for a disturbed peripheral circulation, particularly in the lower legs, such as in chronic venous insufficiency. Neurotransmitters Parkinson's disease is an example of a deficiency in dopamine, which is the reason that L-Dopa is given as medicine. It is also recognized that serotonin plays a role in our mood, or frame of mind. A shortage of serotonin in the brain can lead to depression, which is the reason that Prozac is given as a medicine in order to increase the serotonin content in the brain. From research, it appears that vibration therapy also influences the neurotransmitters and the way in which they work. Vibration therapy increases the serotonin content in the brain, which could possibly explain why most people feel relaxed after a vibration therapy.

  10. Hormones Research shows that after whole body vibration therapy (just one session!), there is a high excretion of Testosterone and Growth Hormone. There is also a drop in the stress hormone cortisol. This combination has excellent effects on muscle protein synthesis. Effect of vibration therapy on Hormones: Testosterone: + 7% Human Growth Hormone: + 460% Cortisol: - 32% (Source: Bosco et al 2000) Increases in Testosterone and Growth Hormone are important in the functioning of both body and mind. Many complaints of the senior people can be traced to a decrease in these hormones. Essentially, these hormones together with the female hormone, estrogen, are used to combat geriatric complaints. So that it is possible to still enjoy your life and vitality even you are getting old.

  11. Oxygen Uptake Some study were designed to measure the influence of WBV on metabolism. Specific oxygen uptake was measured after testing, which complies with the assumption of that oxygen uptake will increase along with the frequency and amplitude of the vibration. Biological Balance Balance sense is one of most important biological function in all of our movement, such as standing or working. As living space of modern society is getting small, most of the people have less exercise. But short of exercise will weaken balance sense and will cause the symptoms as followed : “carsick, full down, muscle tense, slow response” . Further, it will cause the imbalance of producing the hormone and even affect your metabolism. By Whole Body Vibration Therapy, the imbalance symptoms mentioned above can be improved.

  12. Chinese Exercise -- Chi A Chinese exercise, Chi, is called Spontaneous Shake style in some scientific research. • One test for getting the frequency data of a athlete is doing a Shake style exercise found that the average frequency is around 5~7 Hz and the sphygmus is around 84 times per minute. It is based on 20 minutes after the exercise by when the athletes’ breath are smoothly, and feel energy fulfilled inside. • The organs, muscle and skin will be exercised easily through this – shake ( or vibrate ) under the rhythm sin wave. It is also a massage for your body. *「Chi」is a proper noun of Chinese, but hard to explain by a scientific noun. In a nutshell, the 「Chi」is including “Inner Chi” and “Outer Chi”. The inner Chi is for the resonance of circulatory system, energy and the information translated to the cell. The resonance is lower frequency around 8~13Hz, which was already tested by modern instrument. The outer Chi is including the infrared rays, kinds of microsome and some information translation.
