DEC JAN FEB MARCH APRIL MAY JUNE 2006 Annual Seminar Preparation of papers Peer Review of papers Finalisation of papers Editing/ translation Launch of Publication Annual seminar publications • Country papers based on presentations for 2006 seminar • Papers by resource people based on discussions • 3 languages

Pre and post seminar dialogues • 3 dialogues – March, June, September • Post-seminar and pre-seminar dialogues • Cover specific themes with smaller group of countries • Outputs in the form of papers circulated to member countries and presented at annual seminar • One theme for year, interrelated themes or 3 separate themes

  5. Country peer reviews • Budget systems analysis • Conducted by team of member country, CABRI Secretariat and resource person • Need to consider content and relationship to PEFA and ARPM process • Value added is the independent analysis • Countries volunteer

  6. Training/Capacity Building • Research on training providers and training courses available • Make regional training programmes accessible to CABRI member countries • Provide inputs to the content of PFM training programmes • Consider accreditation for training providers and courses across Africa • Country exchanges, study tours and secondments to Secretariat

  7. Annual Budget Reform Seminar • Consider bringing seminar earlier so as not to conflict with certain country budget processes • Possible themes: • Aid effectiveness and management to inform 3rd high level forum in Accra • Accountability • Decentralisation
