Parent Involvement Grant $2500 to increase parent involvement http://wvde.state.wv.us/21stparents/documents/HSTW21stCentParentgrantapplication020209_002.doc • Host Individual Student Transition Plan (ISTP) face-to-face conferences with parents/families of 9th and/or 10th grade students • Use surveys, home visits, and conversations to investigate parents’ goals for their children assist with goal-setting. • Develop media-based tools for improving communication with parents • Conduct LINKS orientation with 9th grade parents and initial face-to-face meetings with advisors. • Plan and implement a school-wide process for student-led ISTP conference involving parent/student and advisor or counselor.
