  1. Interoperability between OSG and LCG/EGEECurrent Status: • ATLAS and CMS have been running their simulation applications across the LCG-2 and OSG infrastructures for over a year (2 years?): • - ATLAS uses Don Quixote to adapt between different catalogues and job submission systems. • - CMS runjob can submit jobs to LCG-2 and OSG/Grid3. • US CMS Tier-1 demonstrated interoperability between LCG-2 and Grid3 at the CE and SE interfaces at the end of last year. US CMS Tier1 visible from Grid3 & LCG-2. • Proposal for Interoperability work developed between US ATLAS, OSG Integration Test bed and LCG-2 at the end of last year (see next slide). • Storage Services are interoperating as part of the Service Challenges. • Agreement at RAL meeting on Glue Schema V1.2 and plan for agreement on V2. • LCG-2 Generic Information Providers to be included in VDT 1.3.X (6?), will be optionally enabled on any OSG site. • - GIPs and BDII tested by iGOC at the end of 2004. • - US CMS testing GIPs on Tier-2s for submission of job. through LCG-2 UI to OSG CE/SEs and from MOP submission to LCG-2 CE/Ses. A feasibility test. .

  2. Possibilities for further Interoperability work: • OSG working through the Interoperability Activity. Laurence Field attends the bi-weekly phone meetings. (also includes interoperability with TeraGrid). • Suggestions for work items from document: • Security - joint security service challenge in planning. • Job monitoring - Logging and Bookkeeping - ? Any next steps taken? • Operations monitoring - LCG looking an a feasibility study of MonaLisa? Any suggestions for upcoming LCG Operations Workshop? • Accounting - can we talk a bit more about this? • Information system – BDII • Job submission • Dealing with multiple VO’s; generic VO’s • Can we think of some specific demonstrations to work towards for SC2005?

Accounting.. • Accounting will become increasingly important. • Current “LCG” acounting url is currently the EGEE accounting: • LCG -> Monitoring -> Accounting -> Country etc. • OSG Accounting Activity being formed • - PDDG storage accounting being developed in Common Project at SLAC/LBNL • Fermilab/US CMS Grid Accounting project is now staffed. • In Interoperation document Accounting has as a first item: “Identification, description of accounting metrics and formats.” • - Model could be that LCG collaboration would work with OSG and EGEE on this??
