  2. J Changers: decir-said, told traer-brought conducir-drove producir-produced reducir-reduced traducir-translated • What do all of these verbs have in common? • Which verb is the exception?

  3. Almost all J changers end in –cir in the infinitive • The exception is Traer • Decir is also special • It ends in –cir, but it also stem changes • ei • All the other verbs just change according to these “reglas”…….

  4. Reglas específicas • You add a “j” to the root of the verb • You don’t just get rid of the –ir ending, you lose the whole –cir ending • Ej: conducir condu • Then you add a “j” • Ej: conducir  conduj • Now we need some endings……

  5. Las terminaciones • They use a mix of the • –ar and –er/ir endings • They don’t have any accents! • These are very similar to what other irregular category? • What is different?
