  2. Why KittyCatS? It helps to be a cat person, but surely that can’t explain why KittyCatS have a solid lead in Second Life. The number of groups and sims for KittyCatScompared to two other very popular pet brands:

  3. Are pets for me? Breedable pets have been on the grid for years, but aren’t really for everyone. Why would someone want a pet in Second Life? • Cute • Interactive • Learn to breed, make L$!

An Interactive Pet Experience • Advanced Breeding System using Mendelian-style Genetics • Require feeding and optional milk to help them gain love (which is required for breeding) easier • Play, Pet, Hold, Cuddle and Lay with your kitty! Special sizes have special features, such as the teacup kitties that sit on your shoulder and megacats that are big enough to ride!

  6. Breeding For Profit The truly savvy KittyCatS lovers are also breeders, mastering the art of kitty genetics and dominant/recessive traits to produce the most beautiful and sought after pets. The “secondary market” is very active and also includes custom collars, pet furniture and costumes!

  7. Cost of KittyCatS Ownership There are some things to keep in mind, just like in real life – owning a KittyCat is a responsibility in Second Life! Some things to keep in mind: • Each cat in regular mode is 13 Prims toward your limit on the land they live on PLUS 1 additional prim for each accessory they wear. (Holding them or putting them in the online Cattery uses no prims) • KittyCats need to eat! Expect to pay 175L$/month for each cat to eat, slightly less bought in bulk. • Breeding means investing additional time and money

  8. So Rewarding, Though Most find the expenses and learning about their KittyCatS more than worth what they put in, and just like First Life pet ownership, it can be a rewarding and fulfilling pixel experience.
