Ilias Atwani Has an Unmatched Passion for Photography Ilias Atwani is a renowned name in the field of mineral and mining engineering who is currently working for a senior Canadian gold mining firm in its mine operations department in the position of a Mine Operations Coordinator. He is a proud alumnus of the Laval University and has completed his bachelor’s degree course in Mining and Mineral Engineering in the year 2012 after attending preparatory classes for engineering school at Institut Polytechnique privé de Casablanca. Havingmore than 7 years of experience in the mining industry, Ilias is now looking forward to completing his education and has enrolled himselfin an executive Master of Business Administration program. Ilias Atwani is a responsible mining engineering professional who uses his skills and expertise at Mining Oriented Operational Analysis/Modeling: Surpac®, Whittle®, Talpac®; Programming: Matlab®, C/C++, VB; Management and Logistics: SAP®, JD Edwards®; and CAD Software like AutoCAD® (Amine & Promine), SolidWorks®, Silverscreen® (CAMP), 3D Reshaper® to extract the best outcome out of every task at hand. Ilias Atwani also worked as an emergency evacuation volunteer at Laval University for more than 3 years and contributed to disaster and humanitarian relief and was also a part of MENING.ES – the student section of the OIQ. He has always had an unmatched passion for photography and has even won several renowned photography competitions including The Art of Mining and 20 Years of Engagement as well. He was rewarded withan opportunity of visiting two Inuit villages with Noah, a local resident. He loves to talk about his experience at the Inuit villages and has shared that he would have loved to stay there for a longer period of time as that would have allowed him to discover more. Not many people know that Ilias was also a part of a recruitment campaign in the Inuit village of Kangiqsujuaq (Wakeham Bay).
