Introduction to Ilias • Ilias Atwani is a Laval University graduate who has completed his course in Mining and Mineral Engineering. • He is currently a candidate for the Executive Master of Business Administration course at the same university. • He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from the Prince Mly Abdallah High School – Casablanca.

  3. The Start of Ilias’ Professional Journey • Ilias Atwani started his professional journey back in the year 2008 and as an intern in the Mining Engineering department of a reputed company in Meknes, Morocco. • He interned with this company for 3 months and used to assist operators underground in their daily activities, handle and get familiar with the equipment used underground under the supervision of foremen and operators. • He also got to learn underground supervising.

The Responsibilities he is Currently Handling • Ilias Atwani is currently working as the Mining Engineer – Operational Readiness Coordinator for a leading name in the mining industry. • He is handling the Meliadine Project in Nunavut. • Ilias believes that the company he is working for is going to be a symbol of pride, accomplishment, and commitment for years to come.
