  2. Lesson 1- A Look at the Back of the Book The Bible is the story of the battle between good and evil. In the end we see that good wins and evil loses. ~The devil will be thrown into the lake of fire forever. (Revelation 20:2, 10) Global Center for Christian Development

  3. Lesson 1- A Look at the Back of the Book The Book of Acts, which is God’s training manual for today’s church, shows the triumphant story of the birth and growth of the Church despite evil and persecution. Global Center for Christian Development

Lesson 1- A Look at the Back of the Book What Does Amen Mean? • The definition of amen is, “let it be so.” • The word amen is used to express our willingness to be obedient and proves we are in agreement with the speaker. • The word amen also implies that something is finished.   5. Lesson 1- A Look at the Back of the Book The Meaning of Amen Continued: In the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) the books end with the word amen to let us know the writing is finished. Global Center for Christian Development

Lesson 1- A Look at the Back of the Book The Lord is Still at Work, and the Church Continues • We are taught to: • Teach • Preach the gospel • Go to church (the temple) • Praise and bless God • Allow the power of the Holy Spirit to continue until the end of the world.
