  1. SSD’13 International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices March 18-21 2013, Hammamet- Tunisia www.ssd-conf.org email : info@ssd-conf.org General Co-Chairs Moez Feki ICOS-CEM Research Lab, Engineering School of Sfax, University of Sfax Faouzi Derbel Chair for Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation  Zwickau University of Applied Sciences Technologies for RenewableEnergy Systems Special session organizers: Prof. Luis Martínez-Salamero and Abdelali El Aroudi Contact e-mail: luis.martinez@urv.cat and abdelali.elaroudi@urv.cat Description: The increasing energy demand associated with environmental concerns has led to local power generation using renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic, wind power, fuel cells, etc..., instead of traditional bulk generation grids. These sources use power electronics converters as an interface with the aim of improving the system controllability, reliability, size and efficiency among other performances. We propose a special session that is aimed at providing a multidisciplinary insight into the problems of energy processing through power electronic circuits. We seek to make this session beneficial across the different disciplinary boundaries. Aims and Scopes: 1- Stabilityanalysis techniques of switchingconverterswith applications to renewableenergy interfaces; 2. MPPT techniques in PV energysystems and gridconnectedinverters; 3. Control methods of switchingconverters for PV applications; 4- Modeling of electrical machines in windgenerationsystems; 5- Switchingconverters for fuellcells applications; 6. Modeling and simulation of renewableenergy system interfaces; Paper Submission: . Papers submitted to SSD’13 should be written in English and limited to six pages. Paper format and styles (LaTeX and MS-Word) are available for download at the conference website (www.ssd-conf.org). Submissions should be done electronically through the EDAS website http://edas.info//N10635. PLEASE INDICATE THAT THE PAPER IS SUBMITTED TO THE SPECIAL SESSIONS ON Technologies for Renewable Energy Systems.
