What to place in the presentation: 1.With a partner, find a story of courage. 2.Offer a title page with your person or persons’ name(s) and your group’s names.
3. On the second slide, in the left-hand column, place the story’s essential information. • 4. In the right hand column, place an image for the story.
4. Pull five vocabulary words that are important to the story. You will need to discuss the words’ connotations and denotations 5. Offer your group’s definition of “courage.” The definition could be a phrase or a sentence.
6. Use easybib.com to create a works cited page. You will have to cite both the text and the visual rhetoric. 7. Be aware of your transitions, and the style for the presentation. 8. We are looking to have about five slides.

Tyler Doohan • Tyler, from upstate New York, was staying at a relative’s on January 19 when he saw a fire in the small mobile home at around 5:00 a.m. • Tyler woke up six people, two of whom were children ages 4 and 6. He then went back into the blaze to help his grandfather, a disabled man-neither one made it. • For Tyler’s funeral, firefighters from multiple departments stood in formal “Class A” uniforms with bagpipes playing • Declared an honorary firefighter: Family was presented with a special helmet-receiveing the same funeral ceremony given to fallen firefighters. “He showed valor and strength, and paid the ultimate sacrifice.” ~Fire Chief Chris Ebmeyer
