The Florida baptist convention invests cooperative program gifts to carry on the work that churches cannot do alone: • planting new churches • reaching the ever-increasing multitudes of language groups in the state • creatively developing evangelistic strategies and resources • training Florida Baptist church leaders in church development, stewardship, missions and ministries • providing compassionate ministries through disaster relief, Florida Baptist Children’s Homes and in Florida missions partners -- Haiti and Cuba.
Planting more Churches Last year, 105 new Florida Baptist churches were started-- 67 language and 38 English-speaking congregations.
Evangelistic outreach • Teaching people to share their faith and initiating evangelistic outreach emphases has helped Florida Baptist churches annually baptize 49,000-plus new Christians, including 18,000 in Florida Baptist-affiliated churches in Haiti.
Childcare • From six campuses and ten ministry locations, Florida Baptist children's homes care for and minister to 52,602 children and families through its compassionate domestic and international child care programs.
Assisting churches Materials, plans, training and leader coaching and consultation provided for Florida Baptist churches assist in revitalization, witness training, Sunday school, and evangelistic events.
Worldwide missions • Church planting and evangelism efforts coordinated by NAMB and individual state conventions result in more than 1,000 evangelistic churches plants each year--including 105 planted by Florida Baptists in 2013. • Through the International Mission Board 4,822 Southern Baptist missionaries are engaging 874 people groups around the globe, resulting in 266,451 baptisms this past year. • North American missions
