Sub-Committee • Identified a Team – who participated in Training of Trainers • Secure Funding/Sponsorship • Review Registration Process • Plan Sessions • Secure Location • Recruit Speakers • Schedule dates for first Leadership Training – March 2015 • Make & Distribute Promotional Materials • Recruit Youth to Participate • Register Youth Participants – Feb 2015

Training & Public Awareness Sub-Committee • Training • April – Local DSS “Breaking Perceptions of DSS” • May – Youth Mental Health First Aid • June – Water Safety, “Home Alone Safety,” Fire Safety • July – Child Rights, Positive Family Events • August – Returning to School – IEP training, “What to Expect at Middle School” for parents (possibly lead by Family Partners) • September – Substance Use Prevention & Suicide Prevention week – still working out details • System of Care/Child & Family Team through the state • Public Awareness • April – Blue Ribbons, DSS Events • May – Green Shoelaces • June – Picnic in the Park with a Provider Fair • July – “Family Time is Not Expensive” – find free family outing ideas, create a Public Service Announcement about dinner as a family 3x/week • August – Still brainstorming ideas • September – Still brainstorming ideas, but possibly have Youth M.O.V.E. participants speak at schools

Planning for Success • Reviewed template developed to gather more information • Discussed ways in which we can gather ALL data, perhaps as a research study, from DSS, DJJ, Schools, Prevention Services, Intervention Services and find out what the information tells us about youth in services. • Are we looking at the same youth/family? • Did prevention services work? • Internal group looking at Child Continuum of care • Foster Care Technologies

Grant Updates • North Carolina was awarded the System of Care Implementation Grant, which will run for four more years!! • November 3rd members of the Regional Steering Committee (all five counties) will be presenting our updates to the State Steering Committee in Raleigh • November 17th Karen Reaves, Ernie Hayman and I will be sharing our experiences with the other four regions and hearing about their work in Charlotte
