  1. GROUPE A How can GEM increase its impact on government policies towards entrepreneurship and innovation: National, regional and municipal authorities are interlinked (Centralized policy vs. regional needs/realities): Bigger sample size to look closer into sub-national levels National teams should include policy makers and entrepreneurs. Chambers of commerce as partners (represent the needs of entrepreneurs)  grassroots approach. Include interviewed experts for the launch of National Reports. NES on an regional level (PES = Provincial Expert Survey)

  2. GROUPE A What are the tools/methodologies necessary to impact government policies towards entrepreneurship and innovation: Dashboard based to identify ecosystem weaknesses Focus groups  task groups  collective impact National report resumés written especially for policy makers (Policy makers are interested in trends; GEM publications should refer to existing programs). Frequent briefings over the year for different stakeholders NES to describe the entrepreneurial environment Panel data

  3. GROUPE A Other Ideas for policy impact of GEM 1. Extend research intrapreneurship, public entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship… 2. Best practices (fast-fix solutions) to share between the national teams

  4. GROUPE A Otherpoints to consider 1. Does policy lead to research or is it the opposite? 2. Policy in the “small” (practical things) vs. policy in the “large” (e.g. education system). 3. Timing!
