United Fund of Giles County • Mission – (1)To support United Fund recipient agencies; (2) Foster community awareness in health and human services; (3) Raise funds through community and volunteer involvement. • Organized in 1957 - Executive Director, a Local Board of Directors and volunteers. • Agencies to be Served - Twenty seven (26) non-profit agencies and programs in 2008. • One Community One Heart

Women's Resource Center • Services Provided - Crisis intervention, shelter and or counseling for adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual assault • People Served – 289 • Funding Requested in 2008 - $5,000
