  1. Acts 19:11-17 (NKJV) 11 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

  2. 13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches." 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.

  3. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?" 16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

  4. 17 This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

  5. Matthew 16:15-19 (NKJV) 15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

  6. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

  7. Jesus I know (ginōskō, “to know by interaction and experience”)Paul I know about (epistamai, “to know about, to understand”)Butthe demon did not know Sceva’ssons

  8. The Symptoms of Not Being Known:

  9. There is… RecognitionWithout Relationship

  10. There is… CuriosityBut NoCommitment

  11. Ephesians 4:14-15 (NKJV) 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ--

  12. There are… Religious TitlesBut NoResults

  13. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NKJV) 1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

  14. 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

  15. The Prescription for becomingKnown:

  16. We Need To… Fall In LoveWithJESUS!

  17. James 4:7 (NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

  18. 1 Corinthians 2:2 (NKJV) 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
