1935-45 :Guidance and Counseling Service in the schools. Public and private high school. 1945 : First Guidance Institute was conducted by army psychologists from the United States. 1950 :Formal degree program in counselor education.

1953 : First formal organization of Philippines. Guidance Association of the Philippines (1945) Philippine Association of Guidance Counseling was founding of (1953) Philippine Guidance and Personal Association now known as Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (1965)
