  2. What Is ATL? Through approaches to learning, students are provided with the tools to enable them to take responsibility for their own education. ATL, is the drive that students need to have, to excel in their studies. It also teaches us how to learn effectively, and productively.

  3. What does ATL include? Approaches to learning also include: • organizational skills and attitudes towards work • collaborative skills • communication • information literacy • reflection • problem solving and thinking skills • subject-specific and interdisciplinary conceptual understanding.

  4. How do we incorporate ATL? • In school, we are asked to incorporate many different areas of interaction in our studies. • In music, art and drama we incorporate ATL, at a daily rate, as we reflect on what we learn. • These subjects also include DT, and IT.

  5. Pictures displaying ATL • In the first picture, we have a brief explanation to all of the AOI’s, and if you look closely you can see the ATL section. This demonstrates the importance of the AOI’s around the school. • As you can see in the second picture you can see the learner profiles, are also at display on one of the walls, which show the student what traits he has to acquire throughout his school career.
