Peer-to-Peer Exchange Program • Purpose: To provide the opportunity for current immunization managers who would like to advance their management skills - and their country’s immunization program - to visit an immunization manager in another country to learn from that program's successes and challenges • Intended outcome:Immunization managers benefiting from the program write a Plan of Action, upon return to their country, detailing how lessons learned will be applied to strengthen their skills and their immunization program Inaugural IAIM Webinar

Peer-to-Peer Exchange Program Details • Peer-to-peer exchange visits: • Typically last one week • Are focused on a management theme chosen by the immunization manager applying for the peer-to-peer exchange (the “Peer Requestor”) • Are supported by a “Peer Supporter”- an immunization manager in another country who possesses experience in the area of interest Inaugural IAIM Webinar

Peer-to-Peer Exchange Program Details, cont’d • An estimated 72 peer-to-peer exchanges will be funded from 2014-2016 • Two application cycles will occur per year (with an estimated 12 awards each cycle) • IAIM pays for flight, per diem, and lodging for the travelling immunization manager; also supports costs of receiving immunization manager Inaugural IAIM Webinar

Peer-to-Peer Exchange Program Application Information • Application cycle opens TODAY- visit IAIM website (www.iaimanagers.org) for details • You must be a current immunization manager, registered as an IAIM Immunization Manager Member, to be eligible to apply. • Those interested in applying must fill out an application form (found on the website) and submit no later than May 9th • Award notifications will be sent by June 27 Inaugural IAIM Webinar

Training Scholarship Program • Purpose: To provide current immunization managers with the opportunity to take a training or course in a management-related topic and improve their management and leadership skills • Intended Outcome:To enhance immunization managers’ capacity to serve in their complex managerial role Inaugural IAIM Webinar

  7. Training Scholarship Program Details • Trainings can be online or in-person • Providers should be accredited by an accrediting body. • IAIM will pay the cost of the course • For in-person trainings, IAIM will pay travel and lodging costs associated with training. • Maximum total cost supported per training (including travel expenses) is USD $10,000 • An estimated 18 Training Scholarships will be funded from 2014-2016 • One application cycle will take place per year Inaugural IAIM Webinar

Training Scholarship Program Details Illustrative topic areas include: • Management & Leadership studies, including but not limited to: • Human Resource Management • Communication • Strategic Planning • Financial Planning • Supply Chain Management, including but not limited to: • Procurement and Contract Management • Operations Management • Warehousing, Storage and Transportation Management • Forecasting and Demand Management • Information Systems Management, including but not limited to: • Data Management • Systems Design and Analysis Inaugural IAIM Webinar

Selected Eligible Trainings & Courses • The IAIM Training Scholarship Program is applicable to a wide variety of trainings and courses. • Select eligible trainings may be offered through institutions such as: • University of London International Programmes /London School of Economics (Diploma for Graduates in Management) • American Management Association (Making the Transition to Management seminar) • Capacity Africa institute (Certificate Course in Procurement and Supply Chain Management) • And many others • Additional guidance on eligible courses & trainings will soon be available on the IAIM website.
