  1. Vtesse Sustainability Policy By adopting the following principles, Vtesse affirms its commitment to looking after the environment. It believes that the ability of future generations to meet their own needs should not be compromised. Vtesse will carry out its activities in compliance with all relevant environmental regulations. Furthermore, it is committed to continuous, measurable improvement in environmental performances by adopting best practice. Vtesse will encourage other organisations and individuals who work within the Vtesse scope of works, to adopt environmental policies. Ten principles will be implemented, wherever feasible within existing financial constraints, within Vtesse. For these 10 sustainability directives, Vtesse will strive to achieve: 1- Efficient Use of Energy Reduce C02 emissions & minimise energy use in every area; 2- Reduction of Transport Impacts Reduce its dependence on road transport (eg: work journeys & business mileage); 3- Reduction of Water Waste Minimize water consumption during building works, including recycling; 4- Minimisation of Waste Minimise waste production by ensuring reuse, repair, recycling & safe disposal; 5- Reduction in Paper Consumption Minimise paper consumption & maximise sustainable sources and recycled materials; 6- Sustainable Construction and Land Management Ensure building & construction projects are designed/built energy efficiently, generate minimum waste in construction & use recycled materials where possible; 7- Resource-Efficient Information Technology Develop a sustainable approach towards future investments & use including identifying new roles which are effective in reducing waste; 8- Sustainable Purchasing Policy Operate purchasing practices in accordance with this policy including local sourcing to support local employment & reduce transport impacts; 9- Raising Awareness Vtesse will ensure that all staff are familiar with this policy and promote awareness of their own responsibilities towards the environment; 10- Measuring Progress Utilise performance indicators which are monitored & evaluated annually.
