  2. Forthose God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters Romans 8:29.

  3. The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes” (Prov. 21:1). “The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps” (Prov. 16:9).

  4. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
