  4. Perpendicular Bisector - Construction Draw arcs centred on the two points. Join the intersections of the arcs.

  5. 3. Points Equidistant from Two Fixed Lines Angle bisector

  6. Angle Bisector - Construction Mark points on the lines equidistant from the intersection. Draw arcs centred on these points. Join the intersection of the arcs to the intersection of the lines.

  7. Example 1 The castle is to be surrounded by a moat which must always be 2 metres wide.

  8. B A C Example 2 A factory is to be built in a position which is the same distance from towns A and B and no more than 10km from town C. Perpendicular bisector of A and B. Interior of circle radius 10. Possible locations on this line.
