2. Resorts therapy - the science that studies the medical spa factors. The resort - a place with a set of therapeutic factors, certain climatic, geographical and hygienic conditions.

3. Spa resources of Ukraine are extremely rich and wide. Favourable conditions in the south (Black Sea coast, especially southern coast of Crimea) allowed to create districts where coastal and mountain resorts are, here widely used climate (or one of the primary factors) treatment technique - Alushta, Arcadia, Great Fountain, Evpatoria , Staryi Krym, Feodosia, Chernomorka, Yalta and others.

4. Mineral waters of different composition were found in almost all regions of Ukraine. Most mineral sources concentrated in its western part. In the Transcarpathian region are large resources of carbonate waters- resorts Verkhovina, Mountain Tisa, Carpathians, Shayan, the carbonated water group operates Svalyava resorts. Sulphide water resources are present at Synyak resort and sodium chloride mineral water at Ust- Chorna .

Well -studied and widely used for treatment mineral springs of Lviv region: - sulfide water (Lyuben –the Great, Nemiroff) - sulfate-chloride-magnesium-calcium (Morshyn) hydrocarbonate and hydro-sulphate, - calcium-magnesium, calcium- sulfate -hydro-magnesium, sulfate sodium-calcium (Truskavets). Quite frequently are spread sodium chloride waters at Lugansk, Dnipropetrovsk regions (resort Salty Lyman), Poltava (Mirgorod), Rivne (Gorun) and other regions of Ukraine. Sulfide water was found in Ivano-Frankivsk region (resort Cherche).

6. In Kharkiv region are present reserves of hydrocarbon siliceous calcium-sodium-magnesium (resort Berezivsk mineral waters) and sodium hydro-magnesium-calcium (Ray-Olenivka) waters. Radon waters of different chemical composition are present at Zhitomir, (resort Khmilnyk), Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Kyiv (Spa White Church), Cherkassy, Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Lugansk (Starobyelsk resort area), Donetsk and Zaporizzia regions.

7. In addition to mineral water resorts in Ukraine they are widely used as therapeutic and treatment in out-resort conditions (bottled in). The most famous Ukrainian mineral waters are: berezivska, berezanska, bukovunska, gogolivska, drahivska, cryshtalna, kuyalnyk, luhanska, luzhanska, melitopolska, murgorodska, odesska, polyana-kvasova, regina, svalyava, truskavetska, feodosiyska, kharkivska and others.

12. Hydrotherapy Hydrotherapy isa large segment in physiotherapy. Is used for various pathologies of neurological, rheumatic, traumatological character.

13. Hydromassage Hydromassage is part of hydrotherapy. Used in endocrine pathology (obesity, lowered metabolism), prevention depressions of different genesis, various cosmetic defects.

14. Practicing hydro- massage, we must remember, that we can not direct the stream of water on the regions of face, mammaeglandulas, genitals, proctology area.

15. Applications of paraffin Used at pathology of joints(inflammatory and endocrine character), at diseases of neurological sphere.

27. Ukraine is especially rich in resources of medicinal muds, which are located mainly in southern (Azov-Black Sea coast) and the North West | (Carpathians, Zhytomyr Region) areas. In a sea area dominated sulfide silt mud that are extracted from saline lakes and estuaries, including estuaries of the famous Odessa region (Kuialnyk, Hadzhybeyskyy), mud lakes of Crimea (Saki, Maynaki, Adzhykol).

28. On the basis of these mud deposits operates the oldest and most famous resorts - Berdyansk, Evpatoria, Kuyalnyk, Saku, Hadzhybeyskyy et al. In the north-western part and some other regions of Ukraine are concentrated stocks of peat mud used at the resorts Murgorod, Morshyn, Nemiroff, Cherche.

29. Resorts are divided into climate, balneological, mud. Most of them are mixed - balneo-climatic or climatic-balneo.

30. According to climatic characteristics resorts are divided on : - coastal - mountains - located on the plains (in forest areas, forest-steppe, steppe). The main therapeutic factors of climatic resorts are- aerotherapy, heliotherapy, sea bathing (talassotherapy), swimming in lakes and rivers, kumysotherapy, treatment by eating grapes .

31. Most important climatic resorts are on the Southern coast of Crimea. In a sea area are situated sanatoriums for tuberculosis patients: Yalta, Alushta, Gurzuf, Livadiya, Mishor. In Simeiz and Alupka are sanatoriums for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, lymph glands, kidneys, larynx.

32. Eupatoriya - children's climatic and mud resort, which is marked by a combination of warm temperate, middle humidity and steppe climate. One of the therapeutical factors of the resort is mud of Moynaki lake. For coastal zones is typical dry, hot and sunny summer, warm, clear and long autumn, early spring, short, mild winter. Aeroheliotherapy possible during the year, sea bathing is possible from May to October.

33. Truskavets - resort located in the foothills of Carpathians. At the foot area there are 11 mineral springs. Some of them used for baths and drinking. The most famous is source № 1 (Maria), № 2 (Sofia) and a unique water -naftusya. Naftusya, with the low mineralization, has significant diuretic property, is prescribed for patients with urinary tract pathology and metabolic problems , liver diseases. Mineral water sources № 1 and № 2 - chloride-sulfate-carbonate-sodium-calcium - widely used in patients with gastric problems. Source № 4 (Barbara) - magnesium sulfate-water, is used for mineral bath.This resort used also ozokerite.

34. Morshyn - resort. Mineral water № 1 (Boniface) - chloride-sulphate-sodium- magnesium, has very high salinity (approximately 400 g / l). Used for drinking, diluting to the various concentration. When evaporate- get "bitter" salt (so-called Morshinska salt). Mineral water № 2 (Magdalena) sodium chloride (salinity 343 g / l) - mainly intended for bathing. The resort also uses peat mud and ozokerite.

35. Lyuben the Great - all year- round resort. Located in a large shady park with swimming pool. The main medical factor- mineral water, which belongs to gas hydrogen sulfide waters as sulfate -calcium water suitable only for bathing. Indicates for diseases of the cardio-vascular system without the expressed decompensation, joint diseases of different ethiology, obliterative endartereitis, atherosclerosis, phlebitis, radiculitis, myositis .
