Practices Occupational • Volunteering in the community • Asking kids what they want to do • Updating your resume Physical • Practicing breathing/ chanting before getting angry • Taking bubble baths • Combining music and chores • Brushing/ flossing regularly • Getting regular exercise • Eating mindfully • Record your diet for a week
Practices Spiritual • Talking to those who have passed on • Talking to God • Meditating (to music) Social • Talking to someone new • Exploring new part of the city/ county • Acknowledging strangers • Spending less time with negative people
Emotional Spiritual Intellectual Social Occupational Physical Six Dimensions of WellnessConclusion • Positive energy flows in and out of the body • Developing wellness in one dimension effects most if not all of the other dimensions • (that’s holism!) • Incorporating practices into your daily/ weekly life takes commitment • Overall, developing wellness in the six dimensions decreases stress and promotes love of oneself and others
