Trauma-Informed Schools Goal: to improve school practices by increasing social emotional success and mitigation of trauma effects to improve school outcomes. • Professional development, consultation and direct service model to integrate evidence-based Social Emotional Learning practices. 3 year project funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation at Olympic Hills and Beacon Hill

Alignment and Outcomes Success in Spokane shows clear alignment with Families and Education goals. • Increased school success • Increase teacher satisfaction and self-efficacy • Reduce disruptive behavior in schools Aligned with levy funded health services.
Outcomes • Implementation of evidence-based trauma-informed SEL programs. • Adoption of trauma-informed teaching practices in an adapted ARC Model. • Effective implementation of an identification, referral, and engagement strategy based on RTI principles in schools to address children not making adequate progress because of trauma’s effects.
Outcomes • Expanded integration of SBHC supports and care intervention resources in trauma-informed school actions. • Strong evaluation practices to document the value added by adoption of CLEAR in Seattle as the foundation for sustainability and potential expansion.
