  2. About Mars • Got its name from roman god of war. Mars means disfigure.

  5. Planets measurements • Mass is 639E21kg • Volume is 163,115,609,779 km3 • Density is 3.93 g/cm3 • Sink because the density is not heavy • Gravity is 3.711 m/s2

  6. Orbit and rotation Takes Mars 1.88 earth years to travel the sun. it takes 27 days to rotate on its own axis .

  7. Atmosphere Rocky atmosphere. It is a thin atmosphere

  8. Temperature • 70 * F • 200* F on earth It is a lot colder at night on mars that in Florida. At night mars can go to -90* celcus

  9. Appearance • It is a rocky planet it is made up of 95% carbon dioxide • Iron material • Bigger than earth and mars is a red planet

  13. What would happen if a person traveled to Mars • The person would float and the would be really cold
