Why? • Original Portal design is nearly 3 years old (launched July 2001) • Portal II brings portal content into an agency “container” • New flexibility in page layout and navigation and overall inclusion with any other agency site • Better performance at no new costs • Features more internet services above the fold E-Michigan Web Development

Technical Changes • Personalization fields eliminated • Advanced Search on home page • Better access to state web sites • Online services component Contact Michigan page redesigned • Left Navigation buttons updated to match banner • Global Quick Links updated and compressed • Page layout compressed and raised E-Michigan Web Development
