Adventist Pastors’ Kids Ministries A Global Initiative by the Seventh-day Adventist Church
Mission To address the unique needs of pastor’s children while fostering their Christian growth with spiritual support through resources, training, and networking
Vision An effective ministry for children of pastors – at the Division, Union and Conference/Mission levels – that fosters in pastors’ children • a love for God • a healthy self-awareness as a child of God • a growing spiritual relationship with the Seventh-day Adventist Church • a renewed relationship with God and the Church where there has been alienation • An increased participation in God’s Mission for the church, community, and the world
In Collaboration With • Shepherdess International • Prayer Ministries • Family Ministries Department • Children’s Ministries Department • Youth Department • Sabbath School Department • Personal Ministries Department
Why Start this ministry? • Pastors’ families are valued by the church and deserve our support as they serve the local church. • Many PKs experience unique challenges and would greatly benefit from an understanding and nurturing support system.
Why Start this ministry? • Many PKs are alienated from God and His Church. With fervent faith, prayer, and wise, gentle guidance, this disengagement can be reversed. • Most PKs possess a heritage of mission and many gifts; they can be ignited to live the promise of Joel 2:28, 29 for God’s Spirit to be poured out on them.
Who is the target of this ministry? Pastors’ children of all ages
