Tennessee Higher Education Commission Post Approval Monitoring: Conclusions • In most cases, new academic programs did not meet • all projections developed by the institution • In 5 of 24 (20%) new programs, there is insufficient enrollment • to indicate future attainment of low producing standards • Important consideration for both resource allocation • and consideration of starting additional new programs • Per recently revised policies, institutions now have additional • tools to make an early assessment of need and projections for • new academic programs 7
