4. Student Service Centre The Student Service Centre serves as the Information Centre and the first point of contact for all students and visitors to the campus. Diversity & Immigrant Student Support The department offers services and supports programs to help immigrant & international students be successful in their transition to the College and their integration into the Canadian labour force. 8. Aboriginal Student Support Centre The Centre assists Aboriginal students in their adjustment to College life and promote respectful cultural awareness for all students & staff. 9. Counselling & Accessibility Services Counsellors are available to assist students in working through academic, personal, financial, and career issues. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) RPL is a process that involves the identification, documentation, assessment and recognition of formal study and non-formal learning gained through work and life experience. First Day/ First Week – What to Expect • Orientation Day – receive timetables and program handbooks with important dates and RRC policies • Hit the ground running – most programs will start classes on the first day • Expect homework to be assigned in the first week – likely 2 to 3 hours per evening • Classes run Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
