The Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Continuing its commitment towards the protection and preservation of the environment, will once again extend its share to clean and to adopt the Laguna Lake. With the assistance and support of different government agencies and non-government organizations and institution, we would further manage a transition of change and minimize the depletion of our natural resources.

The empowerment of Scouts to become active agents for sustainable and equitable development of the environment • 2. The contribution towards the protection and preservation of the environment through coordinated activities and projects

The conduct and delivery of varied outdoors experience for the scouts and promote a holistic environmental education for the good of the local and global environment • 4. To advocate partnership which will ensure that all communities within the Laguna Lake and nearby areas enjoy a safer and more prosperous environment
methodology: • The Project will be using a multi-faceted • approach in cleaning the area and in planting trees. • Coastal Clean-Up. The participants will be spread in a specified area within the Laguna Lake in order to do a massive clean-up – picking of wastes, cleaning the shoreline, etc. The participants will be provided with cleaning materials for the activity.
methodology: The Project will be using a multi-faceted approach in cleaning the area and in planting trees. • 2. Tree Planting. Immediately after the clean up, the participants, divided into small groups, will be asked to proceed to a specified location for the tree planting activity. The groups will be given seedlings. Prior to planting the seedlings, a quick lecture and discussion will be held in order to give the participants a viewpoint as to the seedlings – the technical know-hows, the basic parts of the seedlings, the proper way to plant such, etc.

After the conduct of all of the activities, there will be a quick debriefing session, hinged on discussing the importance of the activities towards the protection and preservation of the environment.

Instructional video on the art of paddling will be shown in the different areas

participants: The Laguna de Bay Region outstretch the following Councils of the BSP, and recommended number of participants (Boy, Senior & Rover Scouts ONLY) these are: • Laguna Council = 800 Scouts • City of Sta. Rosa = 300 Scouts • Rizal Council = 600 Scouts • Metro Manila South = 300 Scouts • TOTAL = 2,000 Scouts

TREES PLANTED IN TWELVE HOURS INDIA The most trees planted in twelve hours by a team in multiple locations is 1,708,181 and was achieved by Y. Satyam, Chief Conservator of Forests and a team of 625 foresters of the Forest Circle Shahdol, Forest Department, with the participation of volunteers (all India) at various locations in Madhya Pradesh, India, on 22 July 2013. A variety of tree species were planted, including but not limited to: Eucalyptus, Acacia, Beechwood and Bamboo. TREES PLANTED SIMULTANEOUSLY PHILIPPINES The most trees planted simultaneously was 64,096 and was achieved by the people of Siruma and Tinamba (Philippines), in Camarines ,l;Sur in association with the El Verde programme, Philippines, on 23 February, 2011. The attempt started at 11:00 a.m and ended at 11:15 a.m. 6,893 participants actively took part and planted an area with a size of 32 hectars big. Species (Narra, Agoho, PiliCanarium, Molave, Camagong, Dao and Lumbang) which are appropriate for this site were planted.This record attempt is a part of the EL Verde 2012 project. Their aim is to plant in total 12.000 000 trees until 2012.
TREES PLANTED SIMULTANEOUSLY AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS INDIA The most trees planted simultaneously at multiple locations is 1,945,535 by 340,200 participants in 408 locations across India and was achieved by Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh JiInsan(India) on 15 August 2011. The record attempt took place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on 15 August 2011. TREES PLANTED IN AN HOUR INDIA The most trees planted by a team of 100 people in 1 hour is 40,885 and was achieved by Haltugaon Forest Division, Kokrajhar in partnership with 135 Infantry Battalion (TA) Eco Task Force and 15th Battalion the Dogra Regiment (all India) in Kokrajhar District, Assam, India, on 29 April 2012. The motto of the record attempt was 'Plant Trees, Save Lives' and the aim was to save the forests of the region and to increase environmental awareness. TREES PLANTED IN A DAY PAKISTAN Karachi, Pakistan - MirzaFarazBaig Pakistan has broken India's world record of planting the highest number of saplings in a single day by planting 750,000 saplings at Kharochan in the coastal area in the Sindh province on Saturday.
