  3. The phrase “Parkland Magnet High School . . . where Excellence Happens” is used almost every day. What does that phrase mean to you?

  4. Over the last several years, the public perception of Parkland has changed. Although some continue to think of Parkland in a negative way, many now consider Parkland to be a school where a large number of positive achievements take place. Discuss how, why, and to what extent you believe the school’s public perception has changed.

  5. What have you done to contribute to this change in public perception?

  6. Have you done something to hinder or counteract this change in public perception? If so, what?

  7. What is the impact when someone associated with Parkland---students, teachers, administrators, employees, etc.---speaks positively and/or negatively about Parkland in a public setting?
