Fall Harvest Make it, Bake it, Fake it! • Date: November 21st • Timings: • 18:30-19:30 social with live music, opportunity draw and silent auction • 19:30 -22:00 dinner, silent auction, door prizes and live auction • Location: Langley Officer Club – Chesapeake/Columbus Room • Menu: • Squash soup and assorted bread rolls • Ham with scalloped potatoes and baby carrots • Pumpkin Cheesecake • Cash bar and wine tasting will be available • Price: $20 Langley Club Members/$23 to non Club Members • Paypal price $20.91 0r $24.00 • Members are allowed to bring guests • Reservations are required.
What is the idea? • This fundraiser is designed to get your creative juices flowing. Whether you're as crafty as Martha Stewart, bake like Betty Crocker, or shop like Paris Hilton, this event is for you! • For this social we ask that members either: • Make It, show your crafty skills with a homemade blanket, a cute centerpiece, or ANYTHING, just get creative! • Bake It, pull out Grandma's best recipe • Fake It by purchasing or donating something great (goods or services)! • Take It! Items will be auctioned off!
How it works • All donations will be on display • Bake it items will be offered as opportunity prizes and guests can purchase opportunity tickets for $1 each and put them in the jar for their chance to win delicious baked goods! • Make it and Fake it items valued at under approx. $50 will be placed in our silent auction • Make it and Fake it items valued at over approx. $50 will be placed in our live auction. There will be a maximum of 5 live auction items. • You will receive 1 free ticket for each item you donate • All proceeds will be put in the LOSC Charity fund
What do we need from Special activities? • We are asking that the Special Activities groups donate a basket to be auctioned off • The basket can be any theme and can be as creative as they would like! • There is no price minimum or maximum!
What do we need from our members? • Donations: We are looking for Make It, Fake It, Bake It donations which can include goods and services! • Items can be donated from individuals or groups • For example: • Are you an amazing quilter? • Can you knit fabulous blankets? • Do you paint or take beautiful photographs? • Can you bake delicious cakes? • Are you a yoga teacher that can donate classes? • Do you know a restaurant that would donate a gift certificate? We also are accepting donations of Make it, Bake it, Fake it items for the auction from coffee groups, community organizations and any other local group or business who would like to donate.
What’s in it for members? • Fun evening with fellow members, their spouses and friends! • Opportunity to raise money for LOSC charity fund • Fort Riley OSC raised $3000 from this social in 2012 and predict more for the November 2013 social! • Door prizes! There will be door prizes ($250 worth of door prizes!) in addition to the auction for members to win. The table center pieces will also be used as door prizes • Only members will be eligible for door prizes
