About Me • My name is Mrs. Amber Lester • I am very excited to be student teaching with you for the next 6 weeks in preparation for my new career as an elementary school teacher. • Currently, I am a resident of Smiths Station and have been since I was a little girl. • I am married to my high school sweetheart, John, and we have two beautiful girls, Kelsey-3 and Mckenzie-1. • We also have two dogs, Sadie and J.J., • and a guinea pig named “Buck Weet”

  3. Educational Background • Graduated #7 in my class from SSHS in 2004. • Attended CSU from 2004-2005 majoring in Nursing. • Changed major to my childhood dream of becoming a teacher in 2006 and began attending TROY University. • After interning this Fall , I will graduate in December with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

  7. My Hobbies • #1 Spending time with my family (Reading to my kids or playing with them). • #2 Shopping, shopping, shopping!!! • #3 Enjoy exercising or playing softball when I can. • #4 Love to create and decorate. • #5 Attend my husband’s softball games.

  8. My Favorites Favorite Teacher: 3rd Grade Teacher at Sherwood Elementary Favorite Subjects: Math & Science Favorite Book(s):The Teeny Weeny Tadpole by Sheridan Cain and all the Dr. Seuss books. Favorite Sports: Softball and Baseball

Teaching is my DREAM! • Since I was a little girl I have always dreamed of becoming a teacher. • I enjoy working with children, and I have always felt a great deal of love and passion for children. • It is my mission “To empower every student to become life long learners and responsible citizens in society.” • You are my dream!!! • I hope each of you have a dream?
