I am in charge of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, & Marines). Each year I give a State of the Union Speech to Congress. I work with Congress to create new laws. When Congress presents a bill for a new law, I can veto (say no) the bill, and it won’t become a law.
If I sign a bill from Congress, it then becomes a law. I represent the United States and meet with the leaders of other nations. I comfort families who have been in earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes or floods. I pass out medals to people who have done brave deeds.
I live in the White House, which even has a bowling alley and movie theatre. I have my own chef. I work in the Oval Office. I am guarded by Secret Service agents.
I ride in a limousine. I fly in a private airplane called “Air Force One.” I have the honor of tossing out the first pitch of the baseball season. I get to light the nation’s Holiday Tree.
