The “Communication” Track • Competent Communicator (CC)
Competent Communicator Basic Skill Building Intermediate Skills Vocal Variety Research your Topic Get Comfortable with Visual Aids Persuade with Power Inspire your Audience • The Ice Breaker • Organize your Speech • Get to the Point • How to Say It • Your Body Speaks
Completing the“Competent Communicator” • Check if all the speeches have been evaluated and that the evaluator filled out the appropriate section. • Annotate the 10 titles exactly the way you want to remember your speeches. Spelling, Capitalization, and Punctuation is important. • Confirm your mailing address is correct in the manual. • Fill out the employer section in the submission form if you want. • Check the two “Advanced Manuals” in the form • if you are eligible • Hand the form or email the details to the Vice President of Education to submit.

“Advanced Leader Bronze” (ALB) • Earn the “Competent Leader” award • Earn the “Competent Communicator” award • Serve a complete six-month term* as a (T.I. recognized) club officer and participated in the preparation of the Club Success Plan while in this office. • Participated in Club Officer Training (TLI) as a club officer • Conducted two presentations from the “Successful Club Series” and/or the “Leadership Excellence Series”

High Performance Leadership • This is a five-project plan devised by the member • The member chooses three or more members as their “Guidance Committee” who offer periodic evaluation to the chosen tasks. • There is no official* pre-requisite for this “award” • District 8 (and other districts) will recognize this level if accomplished after Advanced Leader Bronze. • Necessary as a prerequisite towards “Advanced Leader Silver”

“Advanced Leader Silver” (ALS) • Earn the “Advanced Leader Bronze” award • Serve for an entire year term as a district officer (Dist Governor, LGM, LGET, PR, Sect, Treasurer, Div Governor, or Area Governor) • Serve for one year either as a new-club-sponsor, new-club-mentor, or club-coach. • These roles cannot be credited while also a member of the assisted club. • Must be by appointment of the District Governor.
